August 26, 1920, the 19th amendment passed.
“The right of citizens of the United States
to vote shall not be denied or abridged
by the United States or by any State
on account of sex”
and
“Congress shall have power

by appropriate legislation.”

But Wyoming had them beat by 50 years.
